Who Am I?
I’m a professional therapeutic counsellor based in Exeter. I began my training in 2013 and hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling as well as a Level One certificate in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). Integrative therapy means that I adapt the way in which I work to suit you and your specific needs. The DDP aspect of my training has given me skills in working with attachment related issues which can help improve relationships. I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Over the years I have helped both NHS and private clients to make successful changes to their lives. I also work within an adoption support agency and have a good understanding of issues that can be challenging for adoptees and adoptive parents
How Can I Help You?
There are many reasons why people come for counselling. Most people at some time in their lives experience difficulties or problems and feel they are going through a rough patch. It is often hard to speak to family and friends about these worries and there is a need at these times to speak to someone who will listen, understand and accept us as we are. Finding the right therapist for you is a key part of the process. I offer a free half hour initial consultation so that we can explore whether working together is right for you. I can provide a safe and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult feelings. My goal is to be made redundant and to set you on the path to becoming your own therapist.
